  1. What's the most disgusting thing you've ever had to eat?

    Inspired by the trauma thread.

For me it was bread soup with my ex's parents:
Warm, salted milk with dissolved white bread in it.

    fermented mare's milk (in mongolia)

  3. AW: What's the most disgusting thing you've ever had to eat?

oh god I can think of a kind of muesli breakfast with raw eggs instead of milk in guatemala.

For these two reasons, I am very reluctant to visit people at home in exotic countries. it is then difficult to say no to their invitation to eat.

AW: What's the most disgusting thing you've ever had to eat?

Weird biscuit porridge with an absolutely chemical vanilla taste after the almond operation in the hospital.
    Basically everything I got there

AW: What's the most disgusting thing you've ever had to eat?

Actually harmless: I once went to a friend's place in Holland for a snack and there was a choice of cheese, cheese with ketchup and cheese with curry ketchup ... But I don't like cheese!

AW: What's the most disgusting thing you've ever had to eat?

mushroom soup with all kinds of slimy self-collected mushrooms at the mother of an ex-boyfriend.

I not only had to choke when swallowing, but also had a little fear for my life

  7. AW: What's the most disgusting thing you've ever had to eat?

Bread and butter. In the meantime I've been a vegetarian for many years and that's why it doesn't concern me anymore, but when there used to be bread and butter with slices of sausage as thick as a finger and butter so thick that you could see the teeth marks, I found it very bad. Today just thinking about it becomes very different to me.

  8. AW: What's the most disgusting thing you've ever had to eat?

Liver, definitely. Something brutally disgusting And I also find mushrooms generally super disgusting, this consistency makes me gag.

Ah and I remember that whole grain pizza in kindergarten. The dough got more and more in the mouth and it was topped with corn and at that time I still hated corn. I couldn't eat it. But at that time we had such a terrible kindergarten teacher who always let us sit until we had eaten everything.
So I had been sitting at the table in front of my pizza for a few hours and then I hid a piece in my hand when I went to the toilet, wanted to flush it down, but it kept coming up. I really sweated because I knew that the kindergarten teacher would verbally knock me down if he discovered it.

I don't even know how it ended. Probably it could be washed away at some point.

AW: What's the most disgusting thing you've ever had to eat?

    Meatballs.
I know a lot of people like it, but the combination of a huge meatball and this sour sauce makes me gag.

My grandma comes from Königsberg and my family agrees that she knows the only real recipe. Accordingly, it was considered blasphemy in my family not to eat at least one glob. It was always the longest lunch of my childhood.

  11. AW: What's the most disgusting thing you've ever had to eat?

as a child I found a lot of things gross. I had to gag from Brussels sprouts, processed cheese, rice pudding and mushy banana. I still ate it again and again, I don't know why. my parents didn't force me, but I kind of thought I had to eat this.

What I always didn't like that was the jelly-bananas at my grandfather's, who anyway had a strange taste when eating.

AW: What's the most disgusting thing you've ever had to eat?

Silkworms. Was invited to China and for business. Couldn't just spit it out. It wasn't the taste (a bit like overripe camembert), but the consistency. Was able to suppress a gagging with difficulty and then quickly drank a lot of tea.

And I really don't get the creep of anything while eating.

There are more people who surrender than those who fail.

  13. AW: What's the most disgusting thing you've ever had to eat?

the mentioned quark and leek casserole.

and duck blood curdled in china. that was cut into cubes and it almost came up to me when I bravely tried one.
Because I am totally against cults!

  14. AW: What's the most disgusting thing you've ever had to eat?

I remember my student colleague recommending authentic Chinese restaurants in Berlin to me and listing lots of stuff that I absolutely had to try.

He also asked me 80 times if I would like some tea and I kept saying that I don't like drinking tea. Once he said, "Do you like some tea? It tastes awful, but is very healthy." - Good thing he's not going to be a copywriter.

AW: What's the most disgusting thing you've ever had to eat?

    Foie gras
Had actually ordered fried eggplant or zucchini but the waiter brought me the liver. Since it was seared and crusted, I thought it would be the vegetables. But already with the first bite I got nausea, ask me why this is considered a delicacy. The rest of the family didn't really like it either, although they eat meat.

As a child I went to lunch with a friend once a week, and almost every time there was sweet cucumber salad There must have been kilos of sugar in there and I could hardly get it off.
