Café Bar Tabaré

One of the oldest and best bars in South America

In 1919, the Café Bar Tabaré was founded by Alfredo Gonzalez as a small grocery store that expanded into a restaurant for neighbors and locals and a bar for fishermen. There were many changes after World War II. In 1993 it reopened as a pub and restaurant, but with lots of original furniture. They offer weekly stand-up comedy evenings and varied music concerts.
