Which is better Nvidia or Qualcomm

Qualcomm Adreno 650

TheQualcomm Adreno 650 is a graphics unit for smartphones and tablets integrated in the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 ARM SoC, 865 Plus and 870 5G. The chip will be available from the beginning of 2020 and will mainly be used in Android-based high-end devices. The GPU has a base clock of 250 MHz and, depending on the model, a burst frequency of 587 (SD865), 646 MHz (SD865 +) or 670 MHz (SD870).

According to Qualcomm, the Adreno 650 GPU offers a 25% higher performance than the old Adreno 640 in the Snapdragon 855. This is achieved through + 50% more ALUs and + 50% more clock of the pixel shaders.

The performance in our first benchmarks with a reference device from Qualcomm is excellent and can place itself at the top of all GPUs for Android devices. The ARM Mali-G76 MP16 (e.g. Kirin 990) is just left behind and the Adreno 650 even takes the lead in the 3DMark Sling Shot Extreme test. Only the Apple A13 GPU is faster in GFXBench.

This means that the Adreno 650 is also suitable for all demanding 3D games on Android. Another novelty is that the GPU driver should be available in the Android Play Store.

Displays (max. 2) with 4K resolution at 60 Hz or QHD + with 144 Hz can be controlled via the GPU.
