I did disconnect the wired connection when trying to access the wireless. If it is a dual band router 2. It will probably broadcon too. Could the BroadcomAdapter’s general configuration be wrong? My router is a Netgear N Wireless Dualband.

Is your router set to broadcast your SSID? That is outdated and not as secure as AES. Click on View Wireless Networks.
